Simran Bhullar is graduating from the Allard School of Law May 2022, and joining Cote and Evans as an articled student from May.

Simran completed a Bachelor of Arts with a double major at UBC in Psychology and English Literature in 2019. During her time at Allard, Simran was an editor with the Journal of Canadian Family Law, as well as a clinic head for the Law Students’ Legal Advice Program’s Surrey-Gateway clinic. Immediately preceding graduation, Simran was a phone operator with LSLAP where she additionally gained experience working with the Justice Education Society, finding legal answers for clients as well as connecting individuals to the right legal sources.

Simran has experience acting for clients in the Criminal Courts in Vancouver, for youth as well as defending other individuals generally, having worked with a supervising- principal lawyer with the Allard Law Criminal Clinic. She has experience negotiating with Crown counsel, making submissions before judges, as well as setting up peace bonds.

In her free time, Simran is typically writing poetry or working on her fiction pieces. She thoroughly enjoys coffee and  working out.
