Marlise brings incredible life and work experience to her position of paralegal at Cote & Evans Trial Lawyers. Marlise assists five lawyers in all areas of litigation that the firm practices and works diligently to help achieve the best possible outcome for our clients. 

Marlise immigrated from South Africa in 2001 and prior to joining Cote & Evans Trial Lawyers in 2012, worked as an administrative assistant for over 10 years. Prior to establishing a career in the legal and administrative field, Marlise qualified as a teacher and later obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Pretoria in South Africa. 

Marlise’s teaching experience has been put to good use as she is an invaluable mentor to junior paralegals, legal assistants and students at the firm. Her kindness, enthusiasm for learning and dependable nature makes her a valuable asset to our team.

Marlise is pleased to offer services in Afrikaans and English. Outside of work, Marlise is an avid reader, likes to knit, crochet and do a little sewing.
