Angela Barna

Angela completed her law degree at the University of Victoria.  She received her B.A. in Criminology and Legal Studies Certificate from Simon Fraser University in 2016.  As a law student, Angela participated in the BC Law Schools Competitive Moot, where she and her team placed first overall in 2019.  Angela was also involved with Pro Bono Students Canada during her time as a law student.

Angela completed her articles at Cote & Evans Trial Lawyers and joined the firm as an associate lawyer after she was called to the bar in May 2021.  She practices criminal, family, and civil litigation and has appeared before the Provincial Court, the Supreme Court, and the Court of Appeal for British Columbia.  Angela has a particular interest in criminal law and residential tenancy disputes.

Angela grew up in Surrey and spends her time outside of the office exploring the natural beauty of the Lower Mainland with her husband and her dogs, Oliver, Cooper, and Lucy.
